Overview
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage key financial processes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide leadership within the accounting team. This role combines technical expertise with oversight responsibilities, supporting accurate reporting and strong internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries and maintain accuracy of the general ledger.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper documentation.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial reports and support internal and external audits.
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of internal control requirements, including SOX compliance.
- Participate in audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and collaborating with auditors.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
- Review and maintain internal control workpapers.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and development for junior staff.
- Manage workflow, deadlines, and departmental objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to determine proper accounting treatment for new projects, contracts, and initiatives.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of accoutning experience.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Experience with SOX compliance and audit support.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
