Role Overview
A fast-growing organization operating in the real estate space is seeking a Corporate Development Analyst to support senior leadership in sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions. This role will also help prepare newly acquired businesses for a smooth transition into the broader platform. It's an excellent fit for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in lower‑middle‑market dealmaking.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Initial Evaluation
- Build and refine target lists to support outreach efforts.
- Conduct early‑stage financial screening and preliminary company assessments.
- Prepare internal materials for leadership discussions and management conversations.
Financial Modeling & Valuation
- Develop and maintain 3‑statement financial models.
- Support valuation analyses, including pro formas, earnout structures, and deal scenarios.
- Assist in creating Sources & Uses summaries and related transaction documentation.
Diligence & Closing Support
- Coordinate diligence activities with sellers, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Review financial statements, contracts, and key business drivers.
- Assist leadership in managing closing deliverables and checklists.
Integration Preparation
- Organize and package key information for the integration team ahead of close.
- Summarize operational and financial insights relevant to Day 1 and early onboarding.
Candidate Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or similar analytical roles.
- Familiarity with M&A and financial modeling concepts (e.g., debt schedules, purchase accounting, returns analysis).
- Strong Excel fundamentals and comfort working with detailed financial models.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
