Our client located near DeSoto, Tx is looking for a Sr. Accountant for a contract to permanent role. The position will require experience in the healthcare industry and the ability to work onsite 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage the monthly close process by running Workday reports and overseeing key subsystems (Procurement, Cash, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Expense, and Journals) to ensure an efficient and accurate close.

• Reconcile intercompany transactions during month-end using a custom-designed suspense account process.

• Serve as System Administrator for the Strata system, managing user access, maintaining system tables, and resolving technical issues.

• Process Financial Data Model (FDM) change requests in Workday, including updates to Cost Centers, Accounts, and Providers.

• Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations as needed.

• Prepare and distribute quarterly Action Operating Income (OI) reports.

• Maintain the Strata software platform, including data load coordination and reconciliation of actuals, projections, and budget targets.

• Support year-end audit activities by preparing assigned schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, maintaining the audit journal entry log, and participating in inventory and petty cash counts.

• Maintain and develop financial reports using MHS's accounting software to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare standard and ad hoc journal entries as assigned.

• Generate monthly accounts payable reports for all divisions, including reconciliation of related schedules.

• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
