Senior Accountant - Washington, DC
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Washington, DC looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This position is responsible for overseeing complex accounting activities, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, managing month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reporting schedules.
- Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide insights to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external reporting requirements.
- Assist with audit preparation by compiling documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial information and analysis.
