Senior Accountant - Alexandria, VA

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a local client in Alexandria, VA looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This position is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and overseeing the month-end close process. It also ensures compliance with GAAP and supports audits, budgeting, and financial analysis. This position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring several days a week in the office. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and support strategic decision-making
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external reporting requirements
• Assist with audit preparation by compiling documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis
