Payroll Specialist - Rockville, MD

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a local client in Rockville, MD looking for a Payroll Analyst to join their team. This position is responsible for processing and analyzing payroll data to ensure accurate and timely compensation for all employees. It also involves maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting audits and reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and company policies
• Maintain payroll records, including new hires, terminations, changes in pay, and benefit deductions
• Review and verify timekeeping data, resolving discrepancies before payroll processing
• Prepare and distribute pay statements, tax forms (such as W-2s), and respond to employee payroll inquiries
• Ensure accurate processing of payroll taxes and assist with federal, state, and local tax filings
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to support audits, reporting, and continuous improvement of payroll procedures
