Staff Accountant - Fairfax, VA

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a local client in Fairfax, VA looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with company policies and GAAP. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate general ledger records
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts regularly
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and financial reporting
• Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and support depreciation tracking
• Review and code financial transactions to appropriate accounts in accordance with company policies
• Support audits by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries from internal and external auditors
