Staff Accountant - Arlington, VA
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Arlington VA looking for a staff accountant to join their team. This position is responsible for staff accountant oversight, ensuring accurate financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, and timely completion of month-end close activities. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries for routine transactions and month-end close activities.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain and update supporting schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Assist with audit preparation and respond to internal and external auditor requests.
