JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee Full-Cycle Accounting Operations
Manage all core accounting functions including A/P, A/R, collections, general ledger, and other in-house accounting operations. - Managed direct reports: 11-12 direct reports -AR, and Collections teams. Direct leadership over Billing/Collections (Data Watch) and day-to-day accounting ops.
- Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting
Prepare and deliver timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP; monitor compliance and accuracy across reporting processes. - Cash Flow Management & Forecasting
Direct cash flow activities, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic financial planning and ongoing business growth. - Internal Controls & Policy Development
Establish and enforce internal controls and financial policies to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. - Audit & Regulatory Coordination
Lead audit activities and ensure adherence to multi-state financial regulations and compliance requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification strongly preferred (will consider candidates actively pursuing CPA) - Experience Requirements
At least 5 years of relevant accounting leadership experience, ideally in a high-volume, multi-state or commercial real estate environment. - Technical Proficiency
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms required. - GAAP & Internal Control Expertise
Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and experience implementing and monitoring internal controls. - Analytical & Communication Skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of staff and leadership. - Adaptability & Leadership
Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions, adapt to change, and lead a team in a dynamic, multi-state business environment.
