Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Bethesda, MD
Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations and ensuring timely, accurate processing of vendor invoices. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting function through strong attention to detail and organization. This position is fully onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review vendor invoices, expense reports, and supporting documentation for accuracy and proper coding.
Assist with invoice approvals, reconciliations, and resolution of vendor inquiries or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate accounts payable records and support month-end close activities.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient and timely payment processes.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting support.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; strong communication skills.
