Senior Accountant - Arlington, VA

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Arlington, VA to identify a Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is well-suited for an experienced accounting professional with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting who thrives in a collaborative environment. This position is fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

• Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and variance reports.

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.

• Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accounting operations and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills.
