Senior Program Finance Manager - Washington, DC
Overview
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Washington, DC to identify a Senior Program Finance Manager to serve as the lead financial partner for a large program portfolio. This is a hands-on, senior-level role ideal for someone who can operate independently, stay close to the details, and provide strategic financial guidance to program leadership while overseeing day-to-day fiscal operations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the lead finance partner for a program portfolio totaling approximately $20M in annual revenue.
Provide strategic financial advisory support to the VP of Programs, translating financial data into actionable insights.
Oversee full fiscal management of assigned programs, including budget creation, execution, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Monitor program revenues and expenditures, analyze variances, identify risks, and proactively recommend solutions.
Ensure compliance with grant requirements, funding guidelines, and internal financial controls.
Lead and support a program finance team, setting priorities and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
Partner closely with program leadership to develop a strong understanding of program operations and service delivery models.
Utilize NetSuite to support financial management, reporting, and analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Significant hands-on program finance experience, including managing fiscal operations for funded programs.
Proven experience with budget development, execution, and grant reporting.
Strong understanding of compliance requirements for grants and funded programs.
Experience using NetSuite or similar financial systems.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and operate at both a strategic and detailed level.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience partnering with senior program stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Early Head Start or other HHS-funded programs.
