POSITION: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (HYBRID)

INDUSTRY: LEGAL

LOCATION: INDEPENDENCE, OH

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well established and growing legal firm located in Independence. This is a hybrid role of 3 days remote, 2 days in office after training. This person will be responsible for month end close, financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations and financial analysis. They are seeking an experienced candidate to grow into a managerial position soon.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate across teams to provide actionable financial insights.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for strategic initiatives.
  • Perform accounting tasks like journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Leverage expertise in Microsoft Great Plains to optimize financial processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in FP&A and Microsoft Great Plains.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial tools, including SQL.
  • Analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.
