Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Downtown Cleveland, OH

Position Summary:

An esteemed law firm, located in downtown Cleveland, is expanding its accounting department and seeking two talented individuals to join our team as Accounts Payable Specialists. If you are an experienced professional eager to advance your career and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is perfect for you. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our payments while contributing to the growth of one of the nation's fastest-growing law firms.

Essential Functions:

  • Review and export invoices and expenses from Chrome River.
  • Verify invoice allocations for accuracy before export.
  • Issue checks through the ERP system.
  • Monitor accounts, invoices, and vendor payments, investigating any discrepancies.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and rectify discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and necessary documentation.
  • Audit and process credit card bills.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with internal and external contacts, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare information for year-end 1099 reporting.
  • Understand and adhere to accounting rules and firm policies for the approval or rejection process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or relevant accounting role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
