A leading investment management firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Analyst to support regulatory and shareholder reporting initiatives for a wide range of investment products. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and mutual fund accounting, looking to make a meaningful impact on a high-performing fund reporting team.
What You'll Do:
Lead the review and analysis of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports for registered investment companies.
Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial disclosures with applicable accounting standards (GAAP, Regulation S-X).
Oversee the preparation and submission of key regulatory filings including N-CSR, N-PORT, N-CEN, and 24f-2.
Act as a key liaison with external auditors during annual fund audits and other reporting cycles.
Monitor and interpret evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements to assess impact on fund reporting.
Provide technical accounting guidance and draft disclosures for emerging fund transactions or regulatory changes.
Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain and enhance internal controls in line with SOX and audit standards.
Participate in operational projects such as system implementations, fund reorganizations, and process automation.
Support internal audit requests and assist in controls testing and compliance tracking.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation strongly preferred.
5+ years of experience in financial reporting or public audit, ideally within asset management.
Deep understanding of mutual fund or ETF structures, including relevant SEC filings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical content for non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
