Overview:
A fast-growing infrastructure support company is seeking a Staff Accountant II to join their collaborative accounting department. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-volume operations that directly support nationwide field services. You'll work cross-functionally with operational and financial teams, helping to ensure data integrity and accurate financial reporting across multiple regions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to grow in a stable organization known for promoting from within and investing in employee development.
What You'll Do:
- Support monthly close cycles through journal entry preparation and reconciliations
- Reconcile production and general ledger systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Conduct variance analysis and research fluctuations in key accounts
- Review journal entries for accuracy and consistency across departments
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial data tracking
- Prepare and validate financial reports for field-based operations
- Assist in the development and review of internal board and management reporting
- Collaborate with internal teams to support ad hoc reporting and special projects
- Provide assistance with regulatory and governmental filings on a quarterly/annual basis
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 1 year of professional accounting experience
- Comfortable working with large data sets and high-volume transactions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
- Strong analytical thinker with a detail-oriented mindset
- Self-starter who can work independently and prioritize deadlines
- Effective communicator and team player
