JOB DESCRIPTION
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER (LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT): DETAILS
Title: Instructional Designer (Learning and Development)
Location: Remote opportunity / Nashville TN
Start Date: July 28th
Pay Rate: $40-60/hour
Type: Contract opportunity (6-8 weeks)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday | Standard Business Hours
REQUIREMENTS: INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER (LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT)
* 3+ years of experience in recent instructional design.
* 3+ years of experience in building systems training
* 3+ years of experience with Articulate Storyline eLearning software tool
* 3+ years of experience with Rise eLearning software tool
* Working directly with SMEs to gather content and build training with minimal supervision
* Able to provide a portfolio of current or past work
* 3+ years of experience building systems training for companies
* Strong understanding of learning theory, instructional design models, and adult learning principles.
* Proficiency in eLearning development tools
* Experience with video production or multimedia design.
RESPONSIBILITIES: INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER (LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT)
* Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging learning experiences and instructional materials for various audiences.
* You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and stakeholders to transform complex information into clear, effective learning content that drives performance and knowledge retention.
* Analyze learning needs and target audiences to identify instructional goals.
* Design and develop engaging learning materials using instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
* Create storyboards, eLearning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), and blended learning solutions.
* Utilize authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) to develop digital content.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clarity of content.
* Evaluate existing training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
* Develop assessments to measure learning outcomes and effectiveness.
* Support implementation of learning materials via Learning Management Systems
* Stay current on trends in adult learning, instructional design, and emerging technologies.
