A growing and reputable organization is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its Financial Reporting team. This role offers a dynamic blend of technical accounting, internal controls, and financial statement preparation. You'll work closely with the Accounting Supervisor and a collaborative team to support accurate and compliant financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare audited and unaudited financial statements, including footnote disclosures and supporting workpapers

• Complete and maintain U.S. GAAP disclosure checklists, including research for new or updated accounting standards

• Draft technical accounting memos related to financial reporting transactions

• Assist in preparing quarterly lender reporting and other regulatory or unaudited external reports

• Support and enhance internal controls over financial reporting, including documentation and compliance tracking

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal accounting policies

• Act as a primary contact for external auditors, providing documentation and audit support

• Participate in special projects and process improvements across the finance function

• Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of financial data and reporting processes
