Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Ashland City TN
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $30-50/hour (depending on experience)
Type: Contract to possible hire (4-6 months to possible hire)
Hours: Standard Business Hours | Monday - Friday
REQUIREMENTS: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
* Bachelor Degree in Accounting
* 3+ years of recent work experience as a senior accountant handling month end close and financial reporting
* Knowledge of GAAP, Month end close, journal entries, fixed assets, etc.
* Proficient with MS Office and Excel
* SAP experience is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
* Producing timely and accurate financial statements
* Perform period-end and year end close processes
* Assisting with month end close
* Book journal entries and provide detail level review and analysis
* Analyzing financial information and provide strategic recommendations
* Identify, resolve, and report accounting discrepancies
* Performing reviews of monthly and daily deliverables through the running of daily controls, trial balance preparation and analytical analysis
* Strong ability to interpret accounting for commercial lease agreements
* Performing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings of general ledger in accordance with GAAP
* Preparing and reviewing operating expense reconciliations
* Preparing and reviewing annual budgets and forecasts
