Hospitality Controller - Solon, OH (Full-Time)
Are you a finance professional with a passion for hospitality? We're looking for an experienced Hospitality Controller to join a growing hospitality management firm based in Northeast Ohio. With a portfolio of branded hotels across multiple states, this is a unique opportunity to bring your accounting expertise into a dynamic, people-driven industry.
About the Company:
This privately held firm is known for acquiring, developing, and operating value-add hotel assets across the Midwest and beyond. With nearly 800 keys under management and two recent acquisitions already this year, growth is at the forefront. The company has built a strong reputation for operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and empowering its teams.
What You'll Do:
You'll oversee the financial performance of a portfolio of hospitality assets-managing general ledger activities, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Your leadership will help shape strategic decision-making across departments and properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead accounting and collaborate with operations to ensure financial accuracy
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and reports
- Oversee reconciliations, revenue recognition, and expense tracking
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and lender communications
- Ensure compliance through tax filing, controls, and process improvements
- Drive system implementations and financial automation initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- 4+ years of accounting experience (hospitality industry required)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
- Strong knowledge of USALI, GAAP, and hospitality-specific systems (e.g., Inn-Flow, M3)
- Proven ability to lead SOP development and system rollouts for multi-property portfolios
- Advanced Excel skills and sharp analytical thinking
