AP / AR SPECIALIST: DETAILS
Title: AP/AR Specialist
Location: Nashville TN
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $22-27/hour
Type: Contract to Hire
Hours: Standard Business Hours | Monday - Friday | 40 hours

REQUIREMENTS: AP / AR SPECIALIST
* 1-4 years of AP/AR experience
* Able to perform month-end close
* Proficient excel skills
* Preferred NetSuite experience
* Competencies: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to manage deadlines, and resolve disputes.

RESPONSIBILITIES: AP / AR SPECIALIST
* We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized AP/AR Specialist to handle the full cycle of vendor payments and customer billing operations.
* This role is integral to maintaining healthy cash flow, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting our month-end closing and audit processes.
* Process, code, and verify vendor invoices; ensure compliance with company policies.
* Schedule and run payments via check, ACH, or wire; monitor payment deadlines and discounts.
* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
* Match invoices to purchase orders and goods receipts.
* Maintain organized AP documentation and prepare status reports.
* Assist with month-end closing tasks and support AP audit inquiries
* Generate, send, and follow up on customer invoices in a timely fashion.
* Apply daily cash receipts (EFT, wire, checks) and post to ledgers.
* Monitor customer accounts, send statements, and manage collections.
* Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
* Produce AR aging reports and aid in cash flow forecasting
