Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Chattanooga TN (Remote work is available - will have to come onsite every now and then)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Type: Contract opportunity (3+ months)
Hours: 40 hours per week - Weekends will be required for month end close
REQUIREMENTS: STAFF ACCOUNTANT
* Bachelor's Degree om Accounting or Finance
* 3+ years of accounting experience
RESPONSIBILITIES: STAFF ACCOUNTANT
* Responsible for calculating weekly projections, monthly financial reports and create monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
* Assists with budgetary worksheets.
* Supports Market & Assistant Controller with financial projects and hospital departments' productivity.
* Facility office based position
* Prepare month-end journal entries
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations
* Help complete weekly projections
* Help prepare monthly MOR reports
* Daily cash verifications
* Fixed Asset reconciliations
* Audit Quarterly SOX security review and SOX check-lists
* General knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel basic formulas
* Communicates in a positive, effective manner at all times, with all individuals
* Supports Market Controllers and Assistant Controller on various projects and duties.
