Our client, a leading food manufacturer and supplier, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team. As their staffing partner, we are looking for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to contribute to a company that delivers high-quality products nationwide.
How You Will Make Contributions That Matter
Review over, short, and damage (OS&D) claims, invoices, Proof of Delivery (POD), and related documentation submitted by customers.
Identify potentially invalid deductions and submit disputes (rebills) to customers for recovery of funds.
Partner with plants and distribution centers to investigate the validity of customer OS&D returns.
Prepare and submit supporting documents to the Accounts Receivable Claims Supervisor for outstanding deductions eligible for write-off, in compliance with department policies.
Utilize SAP, Excel, and internal systems to extract, analyze, and organize deduction-related information.
Update databases with final claim approvals or denials and attach supporting documentation.
Audit freight invoices for accuracy and address carrier inquiries regarding payment status.
Collaborate with carrier partners to improve payment accuracy and timeliness.
Manage multiple invoicing processes via SAP and Web Settle Portal.
Review SAP work lists to resolve exceptions.
Support month-end financial close processes.
You Are Best Suited for the Role If You…
Bring 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in accounts payable, deductions, or credit/collections.
SAP experience (preferred but not required).
Excel at problem-solving, multitasking, and both written and verbal communication.
Are highly detail-oriented and professional in your work approach.
Demonstrate initiative in identifying issues and recommending solutions.
Thrive as a team player with strong internal and external relationship-building skills.
Have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
