Tax Planning Specialist - Multi-Client Family Office
Location: Boston, MA

About the Role
A Boston-based wealth management firm is seeking a proactive and motivated Tax Planning Specialist to join its growing tax and operations team. This role will support tax compliance and planning across multiple investment funds and family office clients, while also working closely with investors and client service teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall compliance review process for internal investment funds

• Research and advise on income tax and partnership tax issues

• Provide recommendations on tax and operational matters within the team structure

• Support tax projects related to the firm's investment funds

• Strengthen relationships with fund investors through responsive service and guidance

• Participate in direct client and investor interactions as part of the service team

• Occasionally travel for client or business needs

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant tax/accounting experience in a family office, wealth management, or CPA environment (5+ years preferred)

• Strong knowledge of partnership and individual tax matters

• CPA, MST, or LLM in Taxation preferred but not required

• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Addepar a plus)

• Experience with tax software such as ProSystem fx or BNA preferred

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
