A growing and people-focused real estate investment and management company is looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist to their accounting team. This is a great opportunity to join a stable, expanding organization that values collaboration, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

About the Role:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will work closely with the Accounting Manager, Controller, and Property Managers to ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor records across multiple entities. The ideal candidate has experience in a multi-entity environment and, ideally, exposure to real estate or property management accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and ensure timely payment of all invoices

  • Upload payment files or mail signed checks to vendors

  • Manage vendor setup, 1099 statements, and onboarding for new acquisitions

  • Follow up on missing or incomplete invoices and vendor adjustments

  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment status

  • Oversee petty cash cards, including reconciliation and funding

  • Compile reimbursement packages for lenders

  • Support accounting leadership and property teams with special requests

  • Maintain compliance with all policies related to cash disbursements

  • Perform general filing and clerical duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's in Accounting preferred

  • 3-5 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment

  • Real estate or property management experience highly preferred

  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (experience with RealPage/OneSite a plus)

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Team player with a positive attitude and adaptability in a growing company

Schedule & Environment:

  • Hybrid: In-office Tuesdays and Thursdays (Philadelphia)
