Beacon Hill Financial is collaborating with a non-profit in Manhattan to bring a Senior Accountant to their team. This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards, preparing accurate financial statements, and supporting grant reporting and audits. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all accounting records in compliance with GAAP and fund accounting standards.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Track and report on restricted and unrestricted funds, grants, and contracts.
Prepare financial reports for management, grantors, and the Board of Directors.
Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
