Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Manager
Norwalk, OH | Manufacturing
A privately held manufacturing company based in Norwalk, Ohio is seeking an experienced Accounting professional to oversee both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable while supporting core general ledger and close activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the full transactional accounting cycle and thrives in a detail-driven, hands-on environment.
This position offers broad exposure across accounting operations rather than a narrow, siloed focus. You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting leadership with reliable, well-documented financial information.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day AP and AR operations, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer billing
Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, vendor statements, and customer balances to ensure accuracy
Investigate and resolve discrepancies by working directly with vendors, customers, and internal teams
Support month-end close by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation
Maintain organized financial records to support audits and compliance requirements
Monitor compliance-related documentation such as W-9s, sales and use tax records, and vendor files
Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve transactional issues and gather necessary financial support
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within accounting workflows
What We're Looking For
Demonstrated experience in full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and close
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
Experience working with ERP or accounting systems
Solid Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting
High attention to detail with strong organizational habits
Working knowledge of state and local compliance requirements (sales/use tax, vendor documentation, etc.)
Clear communicator who works well across departments
Why Join This Team
Stable, privately owned manufacturing company with steady growth
Broad ownership of accounting responsibilities and visibility into the full financial picture
Opportunity to recommend and implement process improvements
Collaborative environment without excessive bureaucracy or micromanagement
Flexible approach that supports work-life balance
A culture that values accuracy, accountability, and practical problem-solving
