Wealth Management Advisor / Relationship Manager / Financial Advisor

A well-established investment management firm in Akron, Ohio is seeking an experienced Wealth Management professional to join its growing advisory team. This is a highly visible, client-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships, delivering personalized financial advice, and working within a collaborative advisory environment.
The individual in this position will step into an existing book of business, partnering closely with senior leadership to manage and enhance client relationships while contributing to future growth.
What You'll Do
Serve as a primary point of contact for private clients, providing ongoing guidance across a wide range of wealth management and financial planning needs
Manage and grow client relationships through regular reviews, proactive outreach, and thoughtful service
Develop customized financial plans addressing retirement planning, cash flow analysis, debt strategies, education funding, risk management, and other long-term objectives
Utilize planning and CRM technology to maintain accurate client records, manage workflows, and support a high-touch service model
Collaborate with clients' outside advisors-including CPAs, attorneys, and insurance professionals-to ensure a coordinated approach
Support business development initiatives through established referral relationships and professional networks
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree with a professional designation such as CFP®, CFA®, or similar, or an advanced degree (MBA, J.D., PhD)
5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, trust, or related private client services
Demonstrated experience managing ongoing client relationships
Strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven mindset
Familiarity with financial planning software and CRM systems (Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro) is preferred
Series 65 license is a plus, but not required
This role is not intended for candidates coming from a banking-only or transactional background
