Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a financial services organization in New York City to bring on an experienced Payroll Specialist. This role supports a biweekly, multi‑state payroll environment and requires strong attention to detail, payroll compliance knowledge, and hands-on experience with Workday. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solution-oriented, and comfortable handling a high volume of internal payroll inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and support biweekly payroll for 800+ employees across 30+ states
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll administration software
- Perform detailed payroll data entry, validation, and reconciliation, including maintaining accuracy across multiple systems
- Review and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Assist with audits, reporting, and ongoing process improvements
Preferences:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Workday, ADP Smart Compliance, Salesforce
- EIB experience
- Experience with complex or non‑standard compensation types
