Staff Accountant - Washington, DC

Overview
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Washington, DC in their search for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a fully onsite role responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting duties including journal entries, account reconciliations, and support for month-end and year-end close processes.

• Maintain accurate general ledger activity and assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis.

• Support audit preparation and ongoing audit requests by gathering documentation and assisting with schedules and reconciliations.

• Assist with internal controls and compliance initiatives to ensure audit readiness.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support daily accounting operations and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Working knowledge of audit support and financial reporting processes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics, specifically Business Central, is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
