Accounting Associate - Washington, DC

Overview
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Washington, DC in their search for an Accounting Associate to join their team. This fully onsite role supports core accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting functions including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

• Maintain accurate general ledger activity and assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis.

• Support day-to-day accounting operations, including tracking expenses and ensuring proper documentation.

• Assist with audit preparation and compliance by gathering schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support accounting processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems (NetSuite, Business Central, or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
