Staff Accountant - Bethesda, MD

Overview
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in Bethesda, MD in their search for a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This fully onsite role supports day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

• Assist with audit preparation by gathering documentation and preparing supporting schedules.

• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
