Our client in the Houston, TX area is seeking an Accountant II to join their team!
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
- Participate in month-end close activities related to the general ledger
- Prepare and review complex account reconciliations, including reconciliations between financial systems
- Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and potential issues
- Support the integrity and accuracy of system-based accounting data
- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting procedures and recommend system or process improvements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
