Our client in the Houston area is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join their Accounting Team!
The Accounting Analyst will have experience in the following.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate general ledger activity
- Perform monthly reconciliations of GL accounts, bank accounts, and sub-ledgers; research and resolve variances
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Compile and provide supporting schedules and documentation for management reporting and external audit requests
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and analysis of expenses and revenues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 2+ years of previous accounting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) is preferred
