Beacon Hill Financial is working with a company in Downtown D.C. to bring a Senior Accountant to their team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, combining both in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, an ability to analyze and interpret financial data, and a proven track record in supporting accurate and timely financial reporting in a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage general ledger accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.

  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

  • Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
