Staff Accountant - Washington, DC
Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a local company in the search for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This position will report directly to the Controller and play a key role in managing the company's day-to-day financial operations using Deltek Vantagepoint. Primary Responsibilities:
* Prepare and process client billing in Deltek Vantagepoint, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
* Manage accounts receivable, including posting payments, monitoring aging reports, and following up on outstanding invoices
* Review and reconcile project billing details, ensuring compliance with contract terms and company policies
* Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
* Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for billing and AR transactions
* Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies and provide financial support
* Generate and analyze AR reports to identify trends and assist with cash flow forecasting
* Support internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company procedures
* Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors
* Perform other accounting duties as assigned to support the finance team
