Property Accountant- Bethesda, MD

Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a locally headquartered real estate firm in the search for a skilled Property Accountant to join their team. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager and play a key role in managing financial activity for a portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of CAM reconciliations, journal entries, and vendor payments. This is a full-time, on-site role based out of the company's Bethesda, MD office and will require presence in the office five days a week. Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and ensure alignment with lease agreements
• Post monthly journal entries, including accruals, amortization, and routine adjustments
• Reconcile tenant accounts and resolve variances promptly
• Manage accounts payable and process payments to vendors across assigned properties
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
• Handle tenant billing for rent, CAM charges, property taxes, and other reimbursable expenses
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and validate all supporting documentation
• Work closely with property managers to provide financial updates and reporting support
• Maintain lease data accuracy within accounting systems
• Assist with annual audit preparations and coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals
