Beacon Hill Financial is working with a locally based client in the search for a Property Accountant to join their team. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager, and will be responsible for processing all CAM reconciliations. Additionally, the Property Accountant will be responsible for all journal entry postings and vendor payments for all associated properties. This is an on-site position that will require candidates to be in-office 5 days / week in their Rockville based headquarters. Essential Job Duties:
* Prepare and review annual CAM reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lease agreements
* Record monthly journal entries, including accruals, amortization, and adjustments
* Reconcile tenant accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for assigned properties
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for property portfolios
* Assist with tenant billing for rent, CAM, real estate taxes, and other recoverable expenses
* Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all balances are properly supported
* Collaborate with property managers to review financial performance and provide reporting support
* Maintain accurate lease data and ensure financial compliance with lease terms
* Support the annual audit and tax processes with external auditors and tax preparers
