Our consulting firm is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate to join our growing team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with a strong educational background and a few years of professional experience who is looking to further develop their career in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

About the Role

As an Accounting Associate, you will support the finance team in managing daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accuracy across accounts. You'll work closely with consultants, managers, and leadership to provide financial insights and maintain strong accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and recording of journal entries

  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve variances

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

  • Support audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation

  • Collaborate with internal teams on project-related accounting tasks

  • Contribute to process improvements and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

  • 2-4 years of professional accounting experience (consulting or professional services environment a plus)

  • Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar)

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently

  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
