Senior Accountant - Columbia, MD

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a construction/engineering client in Columbia, MD seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This role will be responsible for overseeing complex accounting activities, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. The position requires prior experience working with Deltek Ajera software.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reporting schedules.

• Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide insights to support management decisions.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external reporting requirements.

• Assist with audit preparation by compiling documentation and responding to auditor requests.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by delivering accurate financial data and analysis

• Hands-on experience with Deltek Ajera is required.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
