Senior Staff Accountant - Washington, DC
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a reputable organization in Washington, DC in search of a Senior Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This position will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting both internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Support internal and external audit processes by preparing audit schedules and providing requested documentation.
Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure proper expense allocations.
