Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a repeat client to support their search for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst in Washington, DC. This organization is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join their team in a fully on-site capacity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in both federal and non-profit environments, and a strong background in financial reporting and audit coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and monthly/quarterly reports.
  • Support annual and project-based audits by liaising with external auditors and preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
  • Track and analyze financial performance, identifying variances and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and non-profit accounting standards.
  • Prepare financial statements and reporting packages for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across departments to support grant and contract reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Assist in long-term planning and risk assessments to support organizational growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A or financial reporting.
  • Experience in both federal and non-profit financial environments is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and OMB Uniform Guidance.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial software (Deltek, NetSuite, etc. a plus).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
