Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a locally based firm in the search for a property accountant to join their team. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for the full cycle accounting duties associated with several different properties in the surrounding DC-Metro area. Candidates with experience in the retail space of property accounting are encouraged to apply. Any prior experience processing CAM reconciliations is also necessary for success in this role. Essential Job Duties

Prepare monthly financial statements, general ledger entries, and property-level reports.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including coding, processing, and resolving invoice or billing discrepancies.

Perform CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and prepare year-end tenant billing packages in accordance with lease terms.

Review and reconcile tenant ledgers, security deposits, rent rolls, and aged receivables.

Support budget creation, variance analysis, and property operating expense forecasts.

Monitor property cash flow, assist with bank reconciliations, and ensure proper accruals each month.

Collaborate with property managers, leasing teams, and external auditors to maintain accurate financial records.

Maintain compliance with company accounting policies, GAAP standards, and property-specific reporting requirements.
