Our client, in the Irving area, is seeking a Mid-level Accountant for a contract position.
Some of the duties will include:
- Prepare month-end journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring complete and accurate supporting documentation for assigned functional accounting areas.
- Perform variance analysis on assigned accounts, comparing actual results to budget and trend, and provide explanations to accounting leads and managers for financial statement review.
- Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations related to assigned functional accounting areas.
- Collaborate with other teams to resolve issues and respond to information requests related to the assigned functional area, ensuring timely resolution.
- Contribute to process improvement projects, assist in year-end external audits, and research GL transactions to understand their impact on the general ledger.
Requirements include:
Two plus years of general ledger accounting experience
Bachelor level or higher degree is required, preferably in accounting or finance
Ability to start ASAP
