Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a for-profit client in the search for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for assisting in full-cycle accounting duties, including month-end reconciliations. A strong understanding of AP and AR processing is necessary for this role. This will be a hybrid role that will require candidates to be on-site multiple days each week in their DC-based headquarters. Essential Job Duties

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

• Support the preparation of internal financial statements and external audit schedules

• Maintain and monitor prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accruals

• Help manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed

• Analyze financial data and assist with variance analysis and forecasting

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures

• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
