Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a locally based client, in the financial services industry, in the search for a Business Manager to join their team. This role will report to the Director of Financial Administration and will be responsible for managing the organization's financial processes. Candidates should have experience processing both financial and tax reports in addition to handling company expenses. Prior experience working in the financial services industry is necessary for success in this position. This is a hybrid role that will require candidates to work on-site several days each week within their Chevy Chase based headquarters. Essential Job Duties
Direct the preparation and distribution of monthly operations reports and cash roll-forwards
Coordinate with administrators, auditors, fund accountants, and tax accountants to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
Supervise the organization's financial processes, including reporting, expense tracking, distributions, and tax filings
Contribute to new product development and provide tax management support
Monitor and reconcile refunds payable accounts to maintain accuracy in financial statements
Capitalize fixed assets placed in service and calculate monthly depreciation expense
File quarterly Maryland state sales tax returns and ensure timely payments
Provide leadership in risk management and strengthening internal controls
Engage in day-to-day problem-solving and decision-making for finance-related issues
Ensure seamless integration between financial systems, including the general ledger, CRM, and related applications
Prepare weekly cash and investment reports for senior leadership review
Maintain sales tax exemption applications and renewals across applicable states
Serve as an internal resource for financial-related product and process issues
Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal stakeholders and external partners
Support special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives as assigned
