Our client in the Irving area is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities and requirements include:

Requirements:

• 1+ years of Accounting experience (Candidate will be trained)

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance is a plus

Revenue & Billing:

• Support progress billing based on completed timesheets

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and field teams to gather accurate billing data

• Ensure timely and accurate invoice generation

Accounts Receivable & Cash Application:

• Manage Canadian accounts receivable and cash application

• Own collections efforts, including consistent, customer-facing follow-ups

• Work cross-functionally with Sales to resolve outstanding balances

• Maintain and manage AR aging (35-70 customers; <100 invoices/month)

• Handle high-dollar invoices (some exceeding $1M)

• Support DSO management through consistent follow-up

Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Support:

• Perform reclassifications related to technician timesheets

• Example: reclass labor costs from OpEx to COGS

• Support gross profit-level accounting activities

• Follow existing processes (documentation is limited; process already exists)
