Beacon Hill has partnered with a locally based client in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This position will report directly to the controller. Applicants must have experience with job costing and must come from a private-sector background. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex / large scale account reconciliations. Job Responsibilities

• Support audit procedures by preparing required schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Develop and track accruals and prepaid expense schedules.

• Compile and assess monthly financial reports to support decision-making.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and promptly address any discrepancies.

• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency.

• Maintain accuracy and integrity within the general ledger.

• Work cross-functionally with other departments to review and validate financial information.

• Verify compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.

• Record and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Adhere to GAAP and corporate accounting standards.

• Evaluate financial data and provide variance analysis.

• Contribute to special projects and assist with system upgrades as needed.

• Prepare and review account reconciliations along with necessary documentation.

• Generate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Update and manage month-end close calendars and checklists.
