Beacon Hill is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing organization. This position will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
- Help maintain accurate financial records and support audit requests
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and reporting of transactions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-5 years of general accounting experience
- Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting systems/ERPs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
