Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the organization's accounting operations. This role requires proficiency in Blackbaud Financial Edge (or other Blackbaud accounting solutions) to manage general ledger activities, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Utilize Blackbaud Financial Edge for posting transactions, generating financial reports, and maintaining the general ledger.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities using Blackbaud tools.
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Support annual audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and reporting as needed.
